Project Objective(s): The overarching goal of A&T is to accelerate effective coverage at scale of key nutrition interventions in priority geographies. In Bangladesh, A&T will contribute to this goal through strengthening systems for MIYCN interventions by providing technical assistance to government, development partners, and other stakeholders to accelerate delivery.
Expected outcomes from the project: A&T’s priority is to support the GOB to achieve nutrition-related disbursement-linked indicators (DLIs) in two divisions (Chattogram and Sylhet) in collaboration with the World Bank and UNICEF, and use those lessons to inform replication, scale and sustainability through the NNS-OP in the remaining six divisions. In parallel, A&T will implement a learning agenda to test innovations to improve MIYCN services in urban settings, and to better understand and address the determinants of adolescent behaviors. A&T will also conduct program and policy advocacy to strengthen BMS code monitoring, and align with partners on how to ensure GOB readiness for Vision 2025 and World Health Assembly targets. The Bangladesh program goal is supported by the following objectives : adoption of policies supporting MIYCN in Bangladesh; improved government implementation of MIYCN, as articulated in the NNS-OP; and strategic use of data for MIYCN policies and interventions.

Many local, national and international Institutes work in the nutrition sector throughout Bangladesh. Every organization has their own goals and objectives but the prime aim of all is to improve the nutrition scenario of the country. Often it is found some lacking in coordination among GO-NGO, NGO-NGO that hamper program result, under-utilization of valuable resources, duplications, missed opportunity to synergize and to learn from each others and so on. For better coordination, there must first be more sharing among the organizations and in doing so an online platform is undoubtedly a great choice. This website provides a scope to know about the nutrition related works of Institutes in Bangladesh. This is developed with the hope for better coordination of nutrition related works among government, Institutes, UN bodies and others. This work was carried out with the aid of a grant from Nutrition International through the financial assistance of the Government of Canada through the Global Affairs Canada.
